Know Before You Go

  • The Caribbean enjoys a warm and tropical climate year-round, making it an ideal destination for any time of the year. Peak tourist season typically falls between December to April when the weather is dry and temperatures are pleasantly warm. Keep in mind that hurricane season runs from June to November.

  • It doesn’t range much…as you can tell.

    Spring (March - May) 75°F - 85°F (24°C - 29°C)

    Summer (June - August) 80°F - 90°F (27°C - 32°C)

    Fall (September - November) 75°F - 85°F (24°C - 29°C)

    Winter (December - February) 75°F - 85°F (24°C - 29°C)

  • Life in the Caribbean moves at a slower pace to take time to relax & unwind. Don't be upset if things don't always run on schedule – it's part of the charm of island life.

  • Caribbean cuisine is a delicious fusion of African, European, and indigenous flavors. Skip the touristy restaurants and seek out authentic meals with locals; try specialties like jerk chicken in Jamaica, roti in Trinidad, or conch fritters in the Bahamas.

  • While many Caribbean islands accept US dollars, it's a good idea to carry local currency for smaller purchases and to avoid inflated exchange rates. For credit cards, make sure they accept other currencies without fees.

  • Travel agents earn commissions through their partnerships with various travel suppliers.
  • When you, as a client, book a service like a flight, hotel, or tour through a travel agent, the supplier (airline, hotel, etc.) pays the agent a commission for bringing in the business. This commission is typically a percentage of the total cost of the booked service.
  • It’s important to note that the commission doesn’t directly impact the price you pay. Instead, it comes out of the supplier’s earnings. In other words, the travel agent’s compensation is covered by the supplier, not by an additional charge to you.
