A Night in London, HBTT Style
The following itinerary is brought to you by the wild adventures of H&B, as we traveled far and wide on our last night in London to ensure we brought back the best stories for you.
The Wine Library
If you know us, you know the words “wine” and “library” will easily capture our attention. Located in Tower Hill, The Wine Library serves as the perfect pregame for your evening. Pick a table deep in the cellar and be prepared to gossip over a few glasses of Sauvignon Blanc while you lose track of time.
Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill
Next, head to Central London via the tube and treat yourself to a late night dinner at Bentley’s. The perfect setting for an evening with the girls, a date night, or any celebration. Here we enjoyed a bottle of rosé and multiple orders of London’s best oysters.
Casa Manolo
Here’s where the real adventure began. We paid an absurd amount for one of the infamous black cabs to drive us from Central to Putney for the remainder of our evening. Luckily, the steep fair was more than worth it. Our first stop was a Spanish tapas bar, though no tapas were actually consumed (I’m positive they are great, please try some for me). Instead, we downed two more glasses of wine and at least one shot. If you’re lucky, you’ll run into some locals practicing their Spanish and enjoy the company of the bartender from Málaga.
Pick a random pub
All you need is good company and a lively pub to keep the energy going. I’d love to give a recommendation, but by this point, our phones had died again, leaving little memory of the spot we stumbled into.
Le Fez
"It’s hard to get us in the club, and even harder to get us out” - Halie. If you’re looking to end the night with a bang, this is the place. The only evidence I have of entering this club is the charge on my credit card for a round of cranberry vodkas (20 year old Breezy’s drink of choice). While we were some of the oldest people in the building, we were debatably the life of the party.
Shawarma
My final suggestion? Leave the club early enough to grab yourself a late-night snack. Once again, I have no clue where I was but if you wander the streets at 2 am there won’t be much open for you to pick from. If you happen upon a spot selling kebobs, it’s likely the same place I stumbled upon, and I give it a 10/10 recommendation.
The Alma
Looking for a place to rest your head at the end of the night? The Alma is a perfect option for those looking to stay further away from Central London. This boutique hotel offers late check-out options, an essential amenity for the morning after a night out in London and the surrounding areas.
